I Love Fall & Stuff

Fall is the best season ever IMO! I haven't been out to an apple orchard yet, we'll see if we get the gumption to do it. I love the crisp smell in the air, the temperature, and humidity levels are bearable.

I switched Kayla to a different school this year and she really enjoys it! The school right by my house that she went to last year for kindergarten was a magnet that emphasizes Muong culture. For about 70% of the children, their first language was not English and the demographic was not diverse, so I switched her to a Montessori school three miles away with less ELL students and a more diverse demographic. Her teacher told me a couple weeks ago that she's never seen a child who started in a standard school adjust so well to a Montessori school, Kayla's got some skills!

Janice has given up eating fuzz off the couch, now her favorite thing is chicken ramon soup!

Not so loyal blogger

Okay so Gerald started this blog for me because he saw me reading my other family members blogs. It was a good intention Gerald! My healthy self interest is not very interested in it. Not much new going on lately, I must admit I mainly stay in the house & only go out when it's absolutely required. I suppose a lot of that is due to having a young baby, no $$$ & I don't know how much longer I can use that as an excuse.

I put Kayla in a summer camp because I know I'm not as playful & fun as kids her own age. She has fun classes like gym, cooking, & art, also every Friday they do the slip & slide or go swimming at the YMCA. She tells me she really enjoys it. We went to the dentist last week & she has 6 cavities. I was wondering why her breath was smelling so strong.

Janice is growing fast & she's doing very well. I'm so blessed to have two healthy beautiful children. Her personality is coming out so strong, will be so fun when she starts to talk. Her favorite thing to do right now is pull fuzz off the couch & stick it in her mouth.

Something Smells

I took Janice for her two month checkup/shots yesterday and she is on the 90th percentile for height, weight and head measurements. Quite a change from Kayla who has always measured low in two of the three categories, except for height of course. She's my skinny chicken just like Phil used to be:) I started going to a different clinic and pediatrician and it's been hard on me cause I don't like change in general. I had a peds doctor at Riverway in Anoka and he's been great. I like the new pediatrician and love her LPN, I just cannot understand why but in the two times I've taken Janice to see her she stinks. Not sure if it's coming from her mouth or her body. I believe she might have a health problem or hygiene problem. Everyone stinks, we can't help it, but ooo eee this lady is over the top! I like her though and will just have to be prepared when I take Janice for her four month check.
